The Epitome of the world

This is exactly the type of story I would say is trying to make us mothers feel guilty about our bodies after having children. I HATE IT. We end up comparing ourselves to an image that isn't even real! Praise the Lord that we really are the woman of Proverbs 31, dont get me wrong I still want to be healthy and look nice for my husband but not at that expense. Having children is a much greater joy then just a "pretty face" with absolutely no character or life behind it. let me know what you think of the video.

  1. I hate it too and this lie is very present every day since we are still in the world. Obviously the girl is not happy. Often I find myself with a "perfect" image in my brain, of what I should look like (specially right after a baby) Thank God for daily baptism.

We need to fight against this for our girls too, who will be growing up hearing this lie even stronger. Good thing we have lots of friends to help us.

  2. Just goes to show that the very thing you are comparing yourself to is not even real to begin with.

  3. Thats what I think Leah. I compare myself with what I think other people look like, but real women don't look like that. That is not the way God created us. It is a very good thing that I don't look like what I think I want to look like. Good thing I don't get what I think I want. By the way, I know you know this about me, but this is the way I think only after baptism!!
