Just wanted to update everyone on the results that we got from my operation. There was no trace of the cancer found in any of my lymph nodes or in the left side of my thyroid!!!! PRASIE THE LORD!!!! Im not gonna lie I was very scared that the results were gonna come back negative and I was gonna have to get another operation, but the Lord has truly blessed me and healed me completely. So now I will have to get routine blood tests done for the next 15-20 years to be sure that the cancer isn't coming back.
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

Love for our little girl
So as some of you may have heard, our little cody was too late when he was crossing the street last thursday night. Emma was devastated and so was I, it wasn't so much my great love for cody but the fact that I knew it was gonna break Emmas heart once she found out. She didn't even realize it for a couple days, but when we told her it hit her very hard. She kept crying sayin "I miss my dog", ughh it was so sad. Jonathan couldn't help but comforting her by telling her she could get a new dog. If you know Emma you would have known how much she adored Cody, practically like a brother to her. Anyway to most people a dog is just a hassle but to Emma he was her playmate. So we have been searching all different types of family dogs such as saint benards, labs, rottweiler (yes they actually are known to be a great family watch dog!),and many other breeds. I like all the cute, little miniature ones but Jonathan says he will never own a "RAT"
We finally came across a rare but adorable breed, the Novia Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever! Basically it's a smaller version of a golden retriever but with white markings, very adorable. She is the picture perfect puppy! So with much inspiration to cheer up Emmas spirit her daddy searched the internet till we found the winner. She is only 8 weeks old and wil be meeting our family on March 1, 2011. We would like your ideas on a name for her, Emma is very stuck on "sugar", Mommy and Daddy aren't to thrilled about that , one we have been considering Rusty, Sandy (becuase her coloring reminds of makena sand) and Ginger. We would love your help with coming up some creative names for our new lil pup!

Thanks everyone for the prayers. We are so blessed to be in a community of people who love us so much. I am on the road to recovery, hope to see everyone soon!

Under the knife
As many of you may know last year I had half of my thyroid removed to a cancerous tumor that was discovered (by Dr. Gould) in my neck. This sounds scary huh? imagine bein me..;(..sigh.... When they did the surgery last year they didn't know if it was cancerous until 2 weeks after the operation so they said we needed to operate asap! Well little did they know I was pregnant with Madelyn so this proposed a whole new set of concerns. We didn't want to do the operation while I was pregnant, so with careful monitoring through blood tests and neck ultrasounds they said we could wait till after she was born. So today is the day, I am having the other half of my thyroid removed as well as the lymph nodes in the central neck region. Of course there are risks involved such as, they could damage my vocal chords and i would possibly never be able to sing again, or hit one of my para thyroid glands. Most people dont even know what a para thyroid gland is, I didnt before all of this. Basically you have four of them in your neck and they are the size of a pea, they make and control the calcium in your body. These glands are very sensitive, you can live with only a half of one! but having surgery done in your neck can make them loose their power completely which would result in having to take calcium meds the rest of your life. You cant live without calcium and if you were to miss a day or two in supplements it could be fatal. Anyway I have given you all short explanation so that you know the details what is happening to me today, but most importantly to ask for your prayer over me and that the Lord would guide the hands of the doctors doing the operation. Thank you, Molly

Generation to Generation
What a blessing that we are all growing up in the "Land" together! Nowhere else will you find 3 generations building together on a daily basis. Once again this a gift that we have been given, happy receivers! Here is one scripture that comes to mind when I look at these pictures,
Psalm 128
Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots
around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the LORD. May the LORD bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. May you live to see your children’s children— peace be on Israel.

Not My Body
1 Timothy 2 But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.
Proverbs 31:30-
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Seeing as Madelyn is now 4 months old, I start getting hit with all theses crazy, worldly thoughts about my weight..:( No matter how many times I try to tell myself, "the outward doesn't matter", "I shouldn't worry about", "who am I trying to impress?" I still get hit with these thoughts, I bet I'm not the only one either (lots of us just had babies) Just a guess?
Good thing that our thoughts aren't our own, they come to us out of no where just like the analogy of the bird pooping on our heads. The world puts out such a trip on us as young mothers to have a "perfect body", Lately Jonathan has been helping me see that I would much rather have peace in my home and enjoy my girls, than be caught up in the pressure of "getting my body back", as the world would say.
It also doesn't make me a very pleasant wife if I'm continually obsessing about it. Jonathan loves me for who I am a NOT MY BODY. I know I will need continually reminded of this but it definitely helps me to get it on my mouth. What greater joy is there than our children! I know that getting help with this constant battle is partly what it means that woman are saved through child bearing
